What ages is this for?+
Officially, 3–12. In practice: under six, they live in the Play-Doh and the book. Eight and up, it's the cards — they're collectible trading cards, and if Pokémon taught us anything, there's no age ceiling on a holographic. The night itself works for the whole table, grandparents included.
My Chinese is rusty. My partner's is nonexistent. Can we actually run this?+
This box was designed for exactly your house. The menu card is in plain English, the book reads itself aloud, and every card's story plays at a scan. You bring the kid and the moon.
Mandarin or Cantonese?+
Both. Every piece of audio ships in Mandarin and Cantonese — pick whichever sounds like your family. Or play both.
Traditional or Simplified characters?+
Your choice at checkout. Not sure? Pick whatever the kid's school or grandparents use — and don't stress it, the audio carries the night.
When does it arrive?+
Order by Sept 14 and you're in the first batch — it arrives with days to spare. Final cutoff is Sunday, Sept 20 for delivery before Mid-Autumn (Sept 25); late orders ship priority.
Is this secretly a Chinese lesson?+
No. No quiz, no flashcards, no “repeat after me.” It's a festival night. If your kid walks away thinking Mid-Autumn is the coolest night of fall, the box did its job.
How much screen time is involved?+
The phone works as the box's storyteller, not a screen to sink into: it reads the book aloud, it plays each monster card's mini story when you scan it, and it comes out under the moon for about ninety seconds at the end. No games, no videos, no “one more episode.” Hands stay on cards, Play-Doh, and a paper book.
Is the Play-Doh safe?+
It's genuine Play-Doh in sealed mini tubs — the exact stuff you grew up with. One heads-up: Play-Doh contains wheat. If your house has a wheat allergy, leave the tubs sealed and pair the mold with your favorite wheat-free dough instead.
